Original Chapeltown Chapel – 101 viewsThis is the old chapel after which Chapeltown is named. It is now two seperate dwellings called Glen Cottages.
It was first registered for use as a chapel on 6th May, 1814.
Across the road is the chapel which many mistakenly believe is where Chapeltown gets its name from - but that building is later - from 1846.

Later Chapel, Chapeltown – 105 viewsThis building was erected in 1846 and replaced the earlier Chapel as a meeting place. Like the earlier Chapel, it is now a private dwelling.
